a clipping mask...take two layers...1 with a square ( bottom ) and one with a bigger sqaure ( top ) that have each centers above one another....then when u apply a clipping mask of the top one..onto the bottom one ( that is called "adding a clipping mask" ) u will se the top square get smaller...exactly the same size as the bottom one...this is because the top square is only visible there where the botom layer has any visible parts in it...in this case it was a square...but if u have a C4D on a top layer and a "waved" ( the filter ) bottom layer...then when u apply a clipping mask from the top one onto the bottom one u will only see the C4D there where u have the wave pixels...if u have a colourfull C4D or just made the colors for urself..u can add something extra to ur normally boring looking wavefiltered layer

...if this is too hard 4u...then just find an extremely simple tut...
