Okay so since like the new season started on Bleach and Naruto every time I download a new episode (I use VLC and it's worked fine for everything else) it plays for about 1 second then just freezes and the theme song just keeps going. I know what you're thinking "Noob install the proper codec" I DID, I went to Dattebayo's site and they said that I need this codec so I installed it, same thing, then they said try this one, installed it same thing, then they said try this video player, installed it, same thing, then they said try this codec pack, installed it, same thing, then they said try these decoders, tried it, same thing. So I figure this file's gotta be corrupt so I download it again, no dice, again, no dice, again, no dice, from a different site, no dice. So now I ask you. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!

Sorry about this double post but
I NEED HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!

I had the exact same problem my friend. It's probably your computers age, or the player you're using. At first, I didn't have the right codec for the format, and then, I had the same problem you have.

If your computer is old like mine, this is what Dattebayo says:
Playback FAQ
  1. Your file is broken! I downloaded the .avi and it doesn't play, I get an error. Or, it plays for a few seconds then stops. Or, I get audio but no video. Or, the audio and video are desyched. Help!

There is nothing wrong with our file. You don't have the correct codec to play it.
All of DB's files play on VLC player, with no additional codecs needed. Please note that VLC is a PLAYER, and not a "CODEC PACK", therefore after installing it you will need to use it to play back the file, not the player you used prior to installing VLC. (If our episodes do not play on VLC, please do not write us to complain. The issue is with your system and we cannot fix it for you.) Or, you can download and install the proper codec.
Bleach and Naruto episodes up to and including Naruto Shippuuden 53 are encoded with XViD. They will also play if you install ffdshow. Naruto Shippuuden episodes from 54 and Bleach episodes from 167 on are encoded with h.264. You will need a h.264 decoder installed. DB strongly recommends using Media Player Classic - HomeCinema for playing back h.264 material as the required decoder is built in, and does not require installation of any external codec packs. Alternatively, for slow systems, CoreAVC decoder is recommended for playback. This decoder is not free. DB does not support or recommend installing "codec packs" in order to view our releases. Complaning about non-working files, as usual, leads to a ban.
Also, close all unnecessary processes running in your task manager such as Explorer and FireFox, and try watching the episode that way. Closing all unnecessary processes will help free up some memory to speed the play back up.

Also, use VLC player, it played back for me semi decently 2 weeks ago, but I haven't watched Bleach in over 2 weeks due to extreme filler homosexuality.

God damned business Iguanas and their leather suits... They're buying up everything.

i wouldn't quite say its your computer but you do have a problem. i would suggest you try playing it in a different player and or try playing it in VLC and then right click on the screen and go to video track and disable it and then enable it and also try changing the blending setting.
