Exclamation Firefox Problems! - 05-15-2008

Everytime I download something on Mozilla Firefox the download window never pops up and when I open it up manually (Ctrl+J) the download isn't there but it does appear on my desktop and downloads fine. I used to have the Download Status Bar for a while and that's when this all started happening I looked at some other threads and it said to delete this certain file but here's the problem with that it's located on another user account and I logged into that user deleted the file but alas no results now what do I do?

It's not
The download manager used to pop up and tell me how much of my download was done and how much was left and how long it would take and also record all the downloads but now it doesn't do that anymore. I checked the settings too everything was fine there

Man, I have the exact same problem :s I kind of regret getting the Download Status bar. I've never bothered trying to fix it, I mostly use FDM (Free Download Manager) now, as you can add in mirrors for your downloads, and it's got a heap of other features.

You could try a fresh install of Firefox, and see how that goes. You may have to clear anything in registry to do with Firefox, but be careful if you do decide to go that way.

Very basic second sig attempt

go here Firefox web browser | International versions: Get Firefox in your language and download and install it it should fix your issues its the new firefox 3 beta 5 it will transfer over all your addons and disable any thing hat is causing the issues a then if you want you can go back to the old fire fox ( you can have them both installed at once ) and just not reactivate the download status bar.

also i have never had an issue running the download status bar or removing it.
