I get the same service, but it costs $99(USD). For me that seems like a reasonable amount to pay. Go Comcast.

Adsl in Greece came 4-5 years ago... Most connections are up to 12 mbit, but ISP companies are upgrading their networks to 24 Mbit right now, so till next year the whole Greece will have 24 Mbit. No cable tv here, but there are wifi WAN's in many cities. Fibre-to-home and fibre-to-ISP center is under development, only at the papers currently (54 Mbps).

Well, in my univercity, the connection is 1 Gbit (1024 Mbit), way ahead from anything else

Wow...I'm paying $45 for my 30Mbps fiber, and I have already used 70%. Sharing Bleach and Naruto downloads, also Gundam 00 now.

DSL in the US becomes over $100 for 5 ~ 10 Mps, it does depend on provider, but DSL in US is a rip off compared to the rest of the world. Greece isn't behind, they're a head of the US. I'll gather some info to support this later, but you can check out www.broadbandreports.com.

Maybe u're right but u have cable. With cable, if ur neighbours aren't watching porn all night, u can achieve tremendous speeds. Adsl speed though is more "guaranteed" than cable...

mine is cable.. telenet expressnet.. 10mb/sec /12gb up&downlimit + 24/24 7/7 homephone calls ..
with digital tv conections included etc.. 55/euro a month..
there was a faster one the turbo version but i didn't take it.. thought this is good for now..
the other package is 35gb up&down limit and 20 mb/s speed.. amount of 75 euros
the prizes are in packages .. standerd internet is 45 / 65 ..
but it's a rip of if u ask me.. first time i bought this they charged me like 300 euros for connection en etc.. router en things.. if i had known what i know now.. i would take a adsl..
there is a special one here in belgium that's unlimited donw and uplouds.. but only 4mb/s
anyways .. this is all

My cable speed avg 24Mbps and I'm told I have max 30. It's DSL that is a shared connection which is why 60% (+/- 3) of americans with DSL have 1.5Mbps connection. Most avg 600kbps, and have limitations on how much data they can download/month. I've heard of some major provider's offering as low as 5Gb of transfered data/month.
