jusut wondering how many people are planning to shell out some bucks for microsoft's newest operating system.

A lot of computers offer a upgrade now, and you need at least 2 GB of RAM for it. Turns out its a must have as microsoft stop upgrading XP.

nah, microsoft won't stop support for xp. at least not for a long while. in fact, most likely by summer they'll release sp3 for win xp. the only "flaw" of xp to vista is that you don't get the "coolness" of vista on xp. stuff like aero glass, the 3d tab function, and most importantly... direct x 10. which is going to be vista only.

im not really feelin' the vista i dono why though :S... yeah its weird oh well :S
i'll stick with my XP for now... maybe i might change it in the near futur.

lol. there's a "bill gates" signature version of vista ultimate. haha. but oddly enough... i might wanna get that one since it supposedly retails for $250. which is half the price point set for the regular version of vista ultimate... go figure.

I don't think I will upgrade to Vista until the first service pack. There are still too many bugs in it.

im gonna wait for 2 things:

1. updates and fixes
2. a hacked version that costs the hard working broke @ss people among us $0 dollars. BEcause charging $300 for a pice of software that costs $.15 to reproduce, and is necessary for your to computer to work, is a complete bastard thing to do.

Vista should cost $50 at most. If it did, linux and apple (at least their computers) would die. And pirated copies of windows would be virtually nonexistant. Micrsoft could recoupe their loses via charging for tech support... oh wait they already do.

yeah, well... i'm buying a new laptop in about two months so i'm prolly going to end up having to get vista since it'll be preinstalled. and why would i want to shell out more for xp if i already have vista preinstalled on it...

vista would never cost $50. even win95 was around $100 when it first came out. i think vista should be about $200 for a fair price. since i was a "recode" supposedly. and they started from scratch. although they've already been working on was it... coppermine? i can't remember what they're calling the next gen vista...

but certainly if you're an advid gamer you're gonna have to splurge on vista since direcxt x 10 is a vista only product. (i'm sure somebody'll hack it to be otherwise... but still looking at the picture differential of a game in dx 9 and a game in dx 10. it's uncomparable. it's too huge of a difference)

even if vista cost $50 they'd still be pirated. i mean... it's just like music cds... if it cost something when you can get it for free... why pay?

yup nice post, i dont think vista will go that cheap! ..
and i think i'll take my last post back.., i installed a vista skin;... and dannnnnnnnggg.. its damn seckzY! O_O, so yeah maybe i do want vista in a way
