Well, the problem is that you already had the "yearly" subscription active at the time when you purchased your "lifetime" one.
You had two concurring subscriptions, your "yearly" as well as the "lifetime" one.
So when your "yearly" subscription was about to expire, the system got confused. It asked you to pay to renew your "yearly" one, when it fact it would not have mattered at all because you would have just lost your "yearly" one, and still had your "lifetime" one.
You did not need to pay the second time, and you should have waited and asked, instead of paying.
