Default Another Download Problem - Jun. 4th, 2009, 11:57 PM

Well I'm not really sure if it's my computer/internet connection or not, but I'm new to the site and I loved it so much I already donated and started downloading many bleach episodes. But sometimes for about half the episodes I download an error comes up about halfway through that says "(episode) could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator." I am using firefox as my browser. Anyone know what I can do to fix it, it is happening on many of the episodes.

Are you using a download manager or Regular Firefox Manager or opening them? I have never seen that error before with downloads and it looks like that you are opening the video in your player rather than downloading it. o.o" Could you kindly confirm this with me? ._.

I am just using Firefox's regular download manager where I click on it, a box comes up and I click save file.

Are you by chance using Wireless? I am really sure the server connection is working fine and it's connection has not been reset for like 20 days now. o.o" So, you shouldn't get this error. I took a look on Mozilla Website and they say it's network connection issue from your side and not from the server. If you are using wireless then that could be the reason. ._.

Yeah I am using a laptop with a wireless router, does that mean it's just the connection being interrupted?

Yea, probably you got disconnected from the router for few seconds causing you to give you that error. I personally would say to use a LAN connection. ._.

So I doubt this is the place to ask this, but maybe you might know. My internet has been giving me alot of problems with maintaining a good connection with computers on the network. Like it always kicks me out of warcraft games and even xbox live. Do you think I should change routers, or is there a way to fix it?

What kind of router do you have? Also, it could be that your wireless router maybe located in a bad place and providing proper wireless connection. The other thing would be to add a second router except it's job would be to just forward the connection from the primary router. o.o"

Also, make sure you have a password lockout on wireless routers. Someone might be snaking your internet from you, causing you to have slow connections, or to have interrupted connections (This happened to me with XBox live). Someone could be stealing some of your bandwidth, which can time out your downloads.

God damned business Iguanas and their leather suits... They're buying up everything.
