How long do you leave your computer on?

How long continuously? Without restarting or shutting down and Why? Do you leave it on for the night?

I leave mine on overnight at times, but I'm usually running stuff on it that takes a while, so it's normally sitting there doing it's stuff for several hours on end.

Mine stays on. I only shut it off if there is a storm coming, otherwise - nope never

I have to shut i down every night because I can´t sleep with it on, to hot and to mush noise.
well the longest period of time i had it on would be about 72 hours straight, but then I sat in front of it all the time... lan-party.

I have friends who have their computers on for up to 3 month in a raw and then they restart and keep going in a few month more until next restart... they have been doing so for the last 5 years

... and they hav´nt changed parts in their comp during that time. the thing that can break is the hard-drives... to many rotations.

it seems we all only leave the computer on for long hours because of the downloads,well we are all download freaks it seems

i have mine on the whole day while im at home. so ye. thats about 12 hours on a no-school day or exam day and about 6 on a school day.

Mine depends whether or not I'm download something. If I am, then it stays on until the download/s are finished. I once left my computer on for 5 days straight, restarted it once or twice just to make sure it doesn't die on me lol. xD

But when I'm in school, though.. of course it's turned off since it really has no use if it's turned on without me being at home. o.o"

the longest I've left mine on is probably 3 or 4 days just downloading stuff.. and does hibernate count as off?

where'd all my posts just go... o.o

anyways... my dad gets angry when I download too much and then he downloads too much and I get angry at him xD that means our laptops are on for hours and hours o.o
