If anyone can help me with this, i would be greatly appreciative. (its from Calculus: early transcendentals 6th edition section 12.2 or essential Calculus: early transcendentals section 10.2 #30 if that helps)
yeah, the problem is that it just gets worse from there when you start multiplying out, it gets to be about half a page long at one point.
I must be missing something that the teacher assumed was obvious. like the previous problem was |r-r1|=1 is the same as a circle with radius one with a center about (x1,y1), but i don't know how that could apply to this one.
