I would put this in the manga request section, but since I'm just asking for suggestions it didn't really sit well with me putting it there...

I'd like something with a bit of conflict in it, and a bit of romance (conflict as in fighting[hand to hand or otherwise])

I just finished reading though Bleach and Naruto...

mhh maybe Busou Renkin, its with action though oO but romance a little bit as well xD

Lovely Complex is the best romance/comedy manga (prefer the anime though) I know, but I dont think that you're looking for that, but its really good

its not too girly, I think its (one of) the best anime/manga with romance, that even a guy can watch/read >.>

+Anima might be good too, Code Breaker, Erementar Gerad, Vampire Knight, Kenshin, Eureka Seven or Rave are great too x)

anyways, fairy tale is pretty good, d gray man, and others
also berserk but it has lots of violence and gore
