I thought he was going to do it when ichigo and the others went to soul society and the captain commander was trying to stop them and then I saw ukitake and that other guy team up and realised that he was never going to do it.Btw has yachiru shown any bankai or shikai and if so which issue was it?

In a long run, we all know that kenpachi "loves" the thrill of a greet near death fight. knowing him, he's just enjoying the cuts n stuff. he'll probably break it out when he feels he's done....or sumthing

Maybe he still doesn't have his Bankia, it's obvious he'll win the fight sooner or later, be it now or in a later fight. But I think he may win without using his Bankai.

Kenpachi never had a bankai... He only uses his reitasu to fight. o.o That's why he lost to Ichigo before... If he had a bankai, it could have turned differently...

Just wondering, does Kenpachi have the one before Bankai??
I don't remember what it's called, but I do remember he needs that before he gets Bankai.

It's just that everyone's expecting him to get Bankai, and the writers may have different plans and have never considered Kenpachi aquiring it.
