i currently read gokusen manga..... its so cool.... its far much better than the series in tv the japs made.... try to read it.....

its about the only heir to a yakuza group, which is a WOMAN!... and she happens to be a teacher in an all male school, and the students are all freakin pain in the ass, they just love trouble... the teacher hides the fact that she comes from the yakuza family.. so its really cool!.. .for those who dont know this story or havent read it,,,, try reading it... you'll also have fun reading the funny parts of story.. its hilariously funny, i tell you....

I would've liked the anime a lot more if it weren't for the art. The character designs bother me a bit, which is why I didn't get too far into the manga. It's good for a laugh, but I actually like the J-drama the most. The people are normal looking (obviously, since they're real) and the scenarios where Yankumi helps her students are a bit more creative. It's a bit too short though, and it lacks some of the over the top moments the anime and manga have. I'll probably continue with the manga at some point. I was enjoying it for the most part. Actually liked it more than GTO (so overrated in my opinion, but that's for another discussion).

i never watched it anime yet... the j-drama was really good yet short.it too bad though.... and the story is way too different.... but still im reading the manga, it makes my day... LOL.... i dunno its just im really having fun with that....

yeah the story in the drama is a bit different, but it's really the characters that I like more... the art in the manga/anime is pretty distracting. In the drama, since they're real, it's easier to get into the story. Plus, Yankumi is adorable, which certainly helps.

You might as well watch the anime. It's not as good as the manga, but it's only 13 episodes so you can knock it out pretty quickly. It was released in English, but some of the voice acting was pretty crappy (particularly the people who were supposed to be tough... they sounded like oafs). I'd recommend watching it subtitled if you have that option. I don't know what the Japanese voices sound like, but they can't be worse than the English ones.

i rather chose watching subs than dubs... i dont like dubs ,really.... so ill go looking for that anime if i have the time... i still dont have my free time yet,, im busy in school... but surely ill watch that anime,, ill make the comparisons....

in manga, the first time i saw the way the drawing was really disappointing, but later on i get used to it, and learn to appreciate it somehow.. hehe.... i just dont like the filler episodes ,sawada and fuji... its annoying... >.<....
