lol, I think he is a good guy. If he wasn't then Pinako wouldn't be friendly with him... He seems to be nice; however, the weird part is that the father and Al's dad both have Philosopher's Stone. I am wondering how long does it take for it to use up and does it even get used up? o.O I know that the father is creating the Philosopher's Stone to start the Homunculus army... Usually, Homunculus were made when alchemists tried to conjure up a live human. How did the father conjure up so many Homunculus and the current Homunculus are human people with the Philosopher's Stone... o.O

i don't know about the current homunculus but i also wandered about why does he needs the stone ,i mean if he need to control amestrus(not sure of the spelling)he already control it so why does he need the stone to??after he destroys it nothing will be left for him, maybe he just enjoys destruction, but i totally feels these needs answering for sure,

I also think Hohenheim is a good guy. He's a bit mysterious, but the connection he had with Father was clearly severed. Remember Father didn't even know he had children until he actually met Ed and Al. The fact that they're so disconnected now (although Hohenheim seems to know what Father is doing) leads me to believe Hohenheim is ok. Also, the Stone's power can definitely run out. If it's regenerative powers can be exhausted, it would only make sense that it's creative powers can run out as well. It has an inner power source that is limited. Also, where was it said that Homunculi were created by trying to conjur up a live human? I always thought that was anime-exclusive (I haven't read the last 10 issues or so, so if what I just said is completely irrelevant now, then I apologize).

He's after an immortal army, as has been said. I wonder about the limits of his current stone. Have they explained why he only creates new Homunculi to replace old ones (or is that not even true any more)? Like, maybe he can only have 7 at a time right now (or however many it is) with his current stone, and needs a more powerful one?

the anime and the manga has the same basics but with different events, however i can't really remember if it is an anime exclusive only or if it was mentioned in the manga,as for the immortal army, why do he need them for anyway, the army is usually used to defend sth and after he carry out his plans nothing will remain to defend in the first place

yeah I thought it was just in the anime too. Although they didn't thoroughly explain how Homunculi are made in the manga (aside from a Philosopher's Stone) I'm pretty sure they never mentioned it was a result of human transmutation. However, they were pretty vague about the results of failed human transmutation (I don't think they revealed exactly what Ed buried after he tried to bring his mom back) so I guess it's still open ended.

Now that I'm caught up... I'm still not sure about the answer, haha. My guess would be that perhaps Father just wants an evolutionary world. He sees Homunculi as superior to humans, so he plans on sacrificing enough humans (via the war) to have enough power to create a perfect, utopian society of Homunculi.

i think they mentioned sth like that somewhere ,i think they talked about that homunculi is an evolved humans, and how they will replace the current humans ,so i guess you might be right but if that is the case then the father will envade each country in their world and my guess the next will be xing

No they cannot. They do not have bodies such as Humans and are created out of materials molded together in a shape like Human. That's why Homunculus alchemy is forbidden as it makes it seem similar to as God. o.O If they were able to then I don't think the Father would require the Philosopher's Stone as it could regenerate from the babies. o.o" That's why I think he is making more Philosopher's Stone to power up the Homunculus army that was built by him. O.o

you are right about that, however if his plans is to replace humans, the way he is doing it right now results in erasing all humans,so after a while he wouldn't be able to create more philosopher stone and so all intelligent life form will be gone ,so maybe he is trying to make them able to reproduce somehow, cause the way he is carrying his plans now indicates that he knows what he is doing.
