For those of you who weren't aware, Gantz is ENDING!!!!

The final arc begins in this year's 44th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine on Thursday. Gantz had been on hold since the 31st issue on July 2 so that Oku could prepare for the final arc. The manga follows a young Tokyo man who is reanimated after a deadly subway accident. Kei goes on violent, seemingly endless missions at the behest of an unseen host.

I dream of the day I read something about that for Berserk, but that will never happen. Anyway, I stopped reading Gantz a while ago. If I ever have time again, I'd like to get back into it, especially now that it's almost over. I just doubt I'll have any time to indulge in something like this, though.

It was already stated in the manga about it. Well, the plot was pretty much clear that it is going to end soon. I still like how things turned out to be. However, I do feel that it's being rushed a bit. :x I was hoping that it would be moved slowly. Well, it's good to see that the author is releasing the chapters now. I was wondering when he would release them. ._.

yeah people I've talked to seemed to feel the end was "near" but had no clue when the author was coming back, and if there would be any more hiatuses (hiatusi?) before it's finished. It looks like there won't be, though, and we'll get a continuous arc through its conclusion.

Well, that's good to hear. The chapters I know before were released in a monthly basis. I guess he is doing it now on a weekly basis. I think the long hiatus was to draw the chapters. So, I guess he has enough chapters to publish on a weekly basis. o.o" So, we won't be seeing anymore hiatuses. ^^ However, the way it left off. I think the conclusion starts as a Big Bang. xD

ok im reviving a sleeping thread... an old friend of mine insisted on me reading this gantz, at first i was like, 'dude, is this something sensible to read?', but when i started reading it, i lose to him cuz i cant stop reading it for even a moment.... i like it a lot that i was able to have a break watching OP...

anyway, the last scenarios and its cover was like came from the idea of the movie 2012, i was kinda surprised.... but anyway, it hasnt ended right? or was i only not able to find the last chapters or what/

So far 307 Chapters are out and it's getting over soon. The final battle seems to be an epic one. I just read the latest chapter and the direction where it is heading is really interesting. It's the ideal case about how Earth will end with Aliens from a more advanced civilization will be taking over.... ^^"

i was looking forward as to how kei will survive this and how can the tokyo team manage to at least do their best before they turn into minced meats... ahahha i cant wait to see more human splatter... but seriously, i want to know what will happen and how are things gonna be between the humans, vampires and aliens, esp about the walking gantz which looks more like an alien...O_O

Yea, well I am still not sure what is happening. I mean we found about how Gantz was mad and stuff. But, it was never stated that how they would defeat the Aliens. Plus, I thought the Vampires were on the side of the Aliens that's why they wanted to kill the Tokyo Team. o.o Unfortunately, they have been dragged into this battle. o.o Plus, if you remember it right Gantz can bring back anyone back. o.o" I think it feels like one of the theories where it states that a Super Computer is controlling everything. o.o"

your right that it looks like Gantz has something to do with controlling everything... and gantz has also something to do with the vampires, you remember the time when the vampire guy was about to slice gantz's neck, they had a conversation or something, kinda werid plus regarding kishimoto is that? there were two of them before the other one died, i didnt understand what happened there...

Well, I know that Gantz can bring back anyone from the death. I think the issue with Kishimoto was the broken fabric of time caused a ripple which lead to duplication of herself. o.o It's the same when Kurono was brought back twice. o.o Plus, Gantz was just programmed human. I don't think he had much say in what he did. Also, if you take a look at the latest chapter it's like the same thing as Gantz where Kurono sees a person in the suit. o.o I don't recall where the vampires tried slicing Gantz. o.o" It's been awhile I read it as it does not come on a regular basis. _-"
