I believe Ussop is weak in close ranged combat, but when it comes to ranged combat he has an edge with it. Also the fight between Luffy and Ussop, Ussop had made all the preparations for the fight. o.O So, he had little bit of an advantage...

However, it seems that Ace is dying. :s If you remember at the end of Moria Arc that lady said about the paper withering away.

yea and i think in episode 225 after the fight with black beard and ace the guy was saying this is the begining of will come in the future or something like that and there will be a big fight
in the end......kuz they will go a save him and some tough guys are protecting the jail

Hope he doesnt die, he is the coolest character in One Piece! As with Ussop, you are probably right, Ussop even said himself that he knew Luffys strength and weakness, but he still lost >_>

I don't know, I guess we will have to see if Ace can survive for a year now. xD It seem like it's going to take that long the things are going right now...

Plus, what scares me that would Luffy die easily if he fights against the Black Beard. o.O As Luffy is more of a disadvantage as he is more of a close ranged fighter and Ace got seriously hurt fighting him. o.o"

I am not really sure what the outcome would be, but yeah, I would be worried if Luffy fought aganst Black Beard, hopefully, if they are going to fight, luffy learned something new, Air Gear 5! xD

lol, I think Gear Second and Gear Third takes more toll to the body and if he goes above that I think he will be MIA for few years. xD I am pretty sure this arc will be something big and maybe Luffy will get a higher bounty. o.O

On a second note, it seems that he will never become Pirate King.... It seems it will take forever. xD

Yeah, and the manga is not about to finish either, the writer has confrimed that he has alot of arcs in mind

Thats so great about One Piece, the writer can put anything in theere withoug ruining the story and goal in the manga, which is to get the treasure and become the Priate King D:
