What is up with Berserk?

It has been three months since the last chapter of Berserk was released. Does anyone know what is going on with this series?

Berserk is a bad ass manga, there is also an anime about it but it is only 26 episodes about the main characters past.

the last was chapter 293 right? the King was defeated by Griffith...but the last chapter did not tell much about them both...it only told us some knights came into the King's castle and rescued thousands of naked women but then they were confronted by Kushan army...
and Guts hasn't been showed again since he was on the ship...

something very similar to what you described happened except there was no Kushan army it was just the girls and citizens dressed up as the army and they were evacuating the city. But still, why the three month wait for a chapter?

Miura is having a hard time with the illustrations. He draws everything by hand himself, and the upcoming story arch (not sure if it started... I'm a bit behind, so maybe it's the current story arc) has thousands of soldiers in a massive war. They release whenever he's ready, as the illustrations clearly take a lot of time and detail. There was also speculation that Berserk is nearing its end, and this war (either upcoming or current... again, not sure) is the penultimate one, but I don't believe all that.

Gatts still need to kill gay homo bird griffen dude, and the rest of the god hands people... and then the skull knight will get all the power to be in control, since he have that weird sword... and then Gatts can use another 300 chapters to seek revenge on Skull Knight

haha. Well, the speculation was because Miura was gearing up for that massive war with thosuands of soldiers (whose illustrations caused the delay). Some people feel that Miura wouldn't risk losing the momentum of the series (one of the most popular mangas ever) unless he wanted to make sure the series would go out on a high note. Is it worth alienating your fans for just another battle? Most people would say no, and feel that this particular war has serious significance, possibly even being the end of the series. I agree with you though. I don't see it ending any time soon. It's too popular
