Default Trigun Feature Film - Nov. 11th, 2008, 07:14 PM

I was buzzing around on wikipedia looking for new anime releases. I stumbled across a single sentence that mentioned Trigun will be releasing a feature film in 2009. So, has anyone else heard anything about this? If so please share. I'm DYING for some closure to Trigun. It was left with an open ending.

All I could find on the movie was this: "The tagline reads: “Vash vs. Wolfwood?!"

Freaking awesome o_o

Sweet it has been finalized? Saw it on the manga cover. But i thought at first it was going to be some half-ass effort that would go stale in pre-production. But Wolfwood is supposed to be Vash's friend. And most of all, Nicholas is supposed to be dead o_O. Anyways, it will be interesting to see the movie and its story line.

Yeah it was officially announced in Volume 14 of the manga. As for the plot line, who knows? Most anime movies step outside their original story and plot line, so I guess Wolfwood will make a triumphent return.

I was really hoping to see a prequel or sequel rather than a side story. I'd love to see Vash and Knives like 100 years after the story ended. There's no way Knives will ever change, so the battle will last as long as he lives.

I found this article. The line up for the production is impressive. They got the Calymore dude for the script, the character designer is the one who brought you Ninja Scrolls. This is going to be a big project movie

I'm glad to see this is actually happening. They've been talking about it for a few years I think, but now that they actually have everything in place, it looks like it's gonna actually get released. Trigun has always been among my favorite manga/anime, so I'm glad we're getting more. I just hope it's not frivolous fan service. Wolfwood and Vash are great characters, but I'd like to see some motivational explanations, or some further development that was left out of the anime, as opposed to "ZOMG Wolfwood vs. Vash in a shootout!!" We'll see which direction they go, but there's so much depth to these characters that they deserve more than just a fan service movie.

I think it will go deeper than just a shoot out. In the manga Wolfwood originally was Chapel the Evergreen, so technically he was an enemy of Vash. It will most likely be something like Vash and Wolfwood are two people with the same enemies. They see each other as threats in the beginning but end up working for a common goal together, or something like that.

Awesome ... This is going to be a great movie ,I'm really glad to see Wolfwood fight again and to see him fight with Vash in a serious way this time ,but it would be much better if they make this movie to be a complement to the real story , what will happen between Vash and Knives at least, anyway its good to see a Movie for Trigun... Thanks for sharing.

Hahahah Yes! Trigun has been one of my favourite anime's. And i've always wanted them to continue the series a few years bak. I think it'll defiantly have more meaning than the title suggest's. I'm interested in what the story will be about. Will it be set in the time that the series was in or before that. It'll be very interesting. Now i want to read the manga
