New Fullmetal Alchemist Anime Series!!

This is good news for me. I have something to look forward to besides new Bleach and Naruto eps now.

According to animenewsnetwork, it looks as if the new series is scheduled to debut in April 2009. There doesn't appear to be any other details (like anything regarding the plot), but I'm sure more will be revealed in the coming weeks.

the new chapter is out and on the first page ,hey said wait to see it in the new anime ,so i guess that the new plot will follow the story of the manga .which would be great since there are a lot of interesting fights and twists there

that's interesting, but at the same time, kind of weird. A lot of fundamental changes were made in the anime (like what a Homunculus was, who Hohenheim is, etc.) I can't see how they can go the manga route at this point, unless it's a brand new show. It's possible that the Full Metal Alchemist Anime was concluded with the movie, and this is essentially a new show, unrelated to the previous anime, that relaunches the entire story and animates the manga through its conclusion (which appears to be coming within the next couple years).

maby they will only follow the raw storyline of the manga then make the details their own

there is no way ,they are going to complete the old one ,since it has already finished by the movie ,but it is either going to be a completely new story or they are going to start over and follow the manga as it is

This is some good news! That anime is on the very top of my list of favorite animes. Now if only Watsuki decided to finish a popular anime.... T_T oro
