Worst Endings

The more anime I watch (and I've watched a lot) the more I realize that most creators have no clue how to end a show. I was wondering if you guys are as frustrated as I am when it comes to anime endings. I'll list some of the worst, in my opinion. I'll avoid specific spoilers as best as possible:

Neon Genesis Evangelion - I know the studio made them rush it, but still... no excuse for this convoluted mess that made no sense

Berserk - It's probably the best ending ever from a marketing perspective, in the sense that I don't think the ending of any show inspired people to buy the manga more than Berserk. But for fans, it's just way too open ended

Code Geass - I thought the twist at the end was stupid, unnecessary, and very poorly done

Outlaw Star - it just went from normal to... well, weird. It was kind of a shock, considering the tone of the first 20 or so episodes.

Dragonball Z - The only good part about the creation of GT was that it gave us a much more satisfying ending. The end of DBZ was just ridiculous, and kind of made me hate Goku

Claymore, Berserk, Hellsing and Death Note, hated the ending. Hellsing because it was left in thin air like Berserk. Claymore because they wrapped up things too quickly.

death note for sure ,i was really hoping it ended when L died even though i liked him but the show dropped its level after that episode ,and the last episode wasn't that great too

But I should clarify the thread. By "Ending" I don't just mean the final episode. It could be the last few, or the events leading up to the final episode. For example, when I say Code Geass, I'm not saying it for the cliffhanger. I'm saying it referring to the stupid twist it forced on itself.

tenjou tenge almost interroped the series in half,claymore should have a second season,death note, darker than black and elfen lied.

I'm kind of surprised at how many people didn't like the ending of Death Note. I thought the show had a lot of flaws and went on too long, but I thought they ended it pretty decently (although an episode detailing the aftermath would've been nice). I have more problems with the middle of the show than the conclusion itself.

one of the worst anime endings was ranma 1/2

it didnt ended, from the whole start it seemed that ranma and akanne will be together but till the last epizode they didnt done anything apart silly and (shitty) arguing with eatch other, the ending picced me a lot ;/
