I've been watching anime for quite some time now (a few years I think) and something has....come to my attention. After watching anime for a couple of years, I've begun to notice something. I CANT watch English Dub! I tried last night...but it almost hurts my eyes...My diagnosis is that after watching sub so long, my eyes have gotten used to working...its like they try and look down to where the subtitles SHOULD be...but they're not there!
never on my side...after a week when i started watching the anime (all subbed), i got used to it...from that point on, never dubbed, all subbed...dubbed--> fake n ridiculous voices...it may be an eye sight problem, never heard of that one before...

it just feels....like....uncomfortable. I started watching Fate Stay Night las night and i could barely watch it! my eyes kept drifting to the bottom where the subs should be.
well i cant really watch dub unless its cowboy bebop or samurai shamploo XD! which i believe are the 2 greatest dubs oh and FLCL but other than that i cant stand horrible english voice actors but i havent experienced anything like where what u described maybe i need more anime O.O
Well I hate dubbed anime....especially Greek dubbed!!this is a friendly warning..if you like anime then do not I repeat DO NOT watch them Greek dubbed!The voices don't really match and are most of the times ridiculously done!Now I've only watched a few English dubbed anime and didn't like it at all but I kinda did what you're saying...it felt weird not having the subtitles down there...my eyes were stacked there!!They didn't hurt but I just couldn't concentrate on listening to what they were saying so most of the times I didn't understand a thing of what was going on!

are u sure there isn't any problem with the player u r using to watch the anime? Becuase if there is not, then u should really go to an eye doctor to check it out, it may become more troublesome after some time...

Lol its not really painful, just..uncomfortable feeling. i think Ronar-chan gets what im saying. Its just wierd not having the subtitles there.

I dont hink ill be watching any more dubbed anime..Fate/Stay Night is kinda good subbed (besides Sakura's voice) but it's just hard to watch dub. The only Dub i can watch with success is DBZ
