I was just sitting here looking for any updates on fade to black (no luck) and it reminded me of how good Memories Of Nobody was...so i pose this question...what are your favorite anime movies/specials...mine are Memories of Nobody and 3 centimeters per second....both are beautiful movies

I've watched and loved way too many anime movies/specials (heck, I own over 200) but 3 stand out in particular.
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal - Just phenomenal. Love the art, love the story, love the romance, and Kenshin is the greatest Tragic Hero since Odysseus. Really powerful stuff.
Castle In The Sky - The movie that got me into anime. I love all Ghibli movies, but this holds a special place in my heart. Great kid's movie on par with anything Disney has ever done.
Grave of the Fireflies - I've mentioned this in like 10 threads... just watch it already. I maintain that if this were a live action movie, it would've won many, many Oscars. Really the most touching movie (not "anime"... movie, period) I've ever seen, and it gives a very unique perspective on WWII.

no, I mean if it were originally a live action movie, not a cheap budget "let's try and capitalize on the popularity of the cartoon" live action movie that probably took 5 days total to film (it was also made for TV, I think).
