Foreshadowing to Naruto being the 4th Hokage's son

Ok, this has probably been said before and as the manga shows, Naruto is the 4th Hokage's son, but that's not the point of this thread though. I just decided to start the Naruto ANIME from the beginning of the series on a whim and noticed in the 2nd episode of the ANIME, the 3rd Hokage is staring at the 4th Hokage while talking to Iruka-sensei about Naruto. They are discussing his ninja registration because he is able to use a high level jutsu(Kage Bushin no Jutsu - Shadow Replication) This occurs about 14 min into the epidsode.

Was this a foreshadowing to what has been revealed to us?...now that the series is wrapping up many of the things happening right before Shippuuden was released(aka Akatsuki plot arc, Sasuke plot arc, etc) Just food for thought.
