The fight barely started, but obviously next weeks one hour special will be the conclusion. I thought the animators did Asuma some justice by showing some flashbacks with him and Shikamaru. I was impressed and a little pissed with the fact that Asuma too can use that power that Chiriku used....It made Chiriku look special ( even if for that brief time frame ).
I was VERY happy to see some kind of rememberence of Yondaime...its like the most creative ninja was being forgotten. I will not lie...and maybe its just me, but every time I here that theme when Kakashi leaves Naruto with some last words of advice....I get teary eyed very quickly...and all gung ho about my career that I am pursuing.
Over all very nice episode for setting up the stage for events to follow....and soon enough there will be alot of emotional comments by other members including me. Hope yall enjoyed it as much as I did...instead of just saying that they wasted an episode..because they didn't.

Well good episode, although i was a little dissapointed that the fight didn't even start till the last 5 minutes. But there's another special next week so, oh well. As for Asuma using "Chiriku's Technique", Asuma even said himself that Chiriku's was more spectacular.
Maybe it's a 12 ninja guardian technique, not just Chiriku's? Anyways, lookin forward to next week even though it's gonna be a downer.....

shit ep.. i mean it was the shit from my point of view the battle was animated very well I thought, what more do you want?/sarcasm On a more serious note, this is the first episode of naruto that felt 'real' to me, or as real as the anime world can feel, idk just something about seeing morgues brings it all home lol.. my favorite scenes are of Naruto's training. By the way, the part where Sakura and Sai were watching Naruto train, did anyone find Sai's reaction to Naruto cutting the waterfall kind of random? Sai was like O SHIZZ w8 nevermind, new topic..then the soldier pills. Also, them tree hopping scenes get really old fast and take up way too much time

I said to myself before the start "I bet the fighting doesnt start till the end" and I was not wrong. It was a good episode, and with a double episode next week will have progressed the storyline along nicely. The funniest moments for me were when Sai was 'frank' with Sakura about the soldier pills, and that little sketch at the end with Shizune and Kurenai. Looking forward to next weeks episode with ambivalence.

I was abit surprised at the title of next weeks episode they announced at the end. I knew it was coming having read the manga, but there must be those that don't read it and only watch the show? Talk about a spolier!

This episode was great except that the fight started at the very end which was kind of stupid since the fight was akatsuki vs team asuma. but it was good and yeah the title maybe a spioler but at least that was the reason the focused on Asuma so much. Cannot wait for the upcoming episodes

i just knew they were gonna do some stupid shit like put the fight at the end of the episode....I bet many were expecting to see the whole fight too, but they had to throw in alot of useless shit. It was an ok episode, but they need to stop with ending the ep. where it should have began....they do the same in mangas.

It was a good double-episode but they are lagging it too much. But i loved the part when Kakasho told Naruto that you are the only shinobi who can surpass the Fourth. It was kind of touching. Also when Hidan heard 'Is he immortal?' and Hidan answered, ''No shit, Sherlock'. Laughed hard at that. From the looks of it, till the very last minute, Hidan was playing around. He got serious when he bit into his finger and got into his true form. The big downside again was too much wastage. Thought they were going to get to the good part but if they go along like this, it will be years till they reach the present manga chapter. Guess they want to make money more than they want to satisfy the anime fans. Its a pain for manga readers but i think the anime watchers would love this.
