As per your question, you partly answered it already. We know that Niibi is not the only Jinchuriki left, so its best to assume that Kuzuku was referring to her clan/village being decimated either by Hidan/Kuzuku or someone else.

I think Kakazu meant probobly Niibi's team, or someone who defended her. Probobly Hidan and Kakazu killed various ninja's and Niibi tried 2 escape and decided now 2 fight.
Moreover it is good, that we are back on storyline. Sora was one of the most annoying person's in Naruto. He just sucked.

I think the filler actually went on a good distance. I'm sort of happy the way it ended, although Sora just running off was a lil corny. All together it was definitely not the worst filler I've seen (Nothing can be as bad as the Bound saga on Bleach).

As for the ending, I loved it like everyone else. Bout time these episodes start getting down to business. Cant wait for the
