We've missed out an entire week for seeing backlfashes of the past episodes 70% of the time.. The little fight this ep had was quite intriguing. I have not read the manga so I don't really know what will happen in the next ep, so.. the last moments of Sasuke are quite disturbing for me :P

Hehe, I actually think that they way the create the anime is kinda dumb... they play around most of the time with useless flashbacks that we have seen previously, while showing them more than just once in an episode, then, leaving us shocked and curious to know what's going to happen next; for example "did Itachi actually pull out Sasuke's eye?" and then they show you what's gonna happen next episode and you can see Sasuke fighting, Hah. Got me there for a moment.
Still, naruto would be the best anime whatsoever. =)

i enjoyed it, i haven't watched the original naruto (why isn't that on this site?) so the flash backs were all new to me.

lookin forward to next weeks ep.

Could have been a real pair of eye popping ep's if it wasn't for the time wasting flashbacks.....

TBH, I liked the original series better. It had more of an adventurous feel to it. Kind of like how Dragon Ball is, compared to Dragon Ball Z. Dragon Ball and Naruto were more about finding ones' way in life and determining how to live...where DBZ and Shippuuden are more about fighting through a horde of strong opponents every couple minutes.

If you even half way like Shippuuden, you'll definitely like the original series.

The flashbacks were definitely way overused. I swear I've seen that scene like 80 times already. Almost all of 135 was filler, it was good, but it was still filler. I think they should really cut back, there is no way they are going to catch up with the manga, so they can quit it with all the pointless fillers now.
Despite all that, the action between Sasuke and Itachi was pretty good. At least they did great with that aspect.
