Ambigram

heyy all. i was just thinkin about sigs and thought about havin a sort of sign. u know, that shows u made it (like VF on all verg's work)

well cos of that, began thinkin bout ambigrams (images of words that read the same when rotated upside down) and decided to make one of my own with "Razer"

so ye here we go...


first ver - original no effect ver:



second ver - with effects to show how they look:



so ye comments? there is one problem that i cnt fix but we'll see how obvious it is....(its really obvious ...though is a matter of opinion at same time)

i like the second one better but the color should be a little lighter since u will not see the name in darker colored sigs...good job anyhow....

did u draw this out O.o i mean y do some of the edges not look straight ?

lol the second one is just adding effects to the first. i posted the first just to show how it looks as a simple shape. the second one was to show how it could look with random 2 sec effects on it.

i was mainly looking for comments on how iv actually designed the letters etc. but anyway thnx ^ ^

EDIT: i started by drawing out how i wanted it to look on paper and tested various designs. then i transferred it to photoshop by eye using the brush tool and just generally deleting and editing ^ ^. some sides aren't straight cos i tried to get them curving. a couple others aren't straight just cos i made a couple of mistakes...then cba to fix them ^ ^

its not a new idea btw...search "ambigram" on google, ull get some amazing site. third or so link (i think) has this REALLY cool "Lion" one. theres also the infamous Water, Fire, Air, Earth ones on quite a few sites.

but the whole rotating and reading the same is pretty common. its called an Ambigram (hence the name of this thread)
