Vector Magic is not the most reliant vector source. It can barely handle anything with more than 3 colors. I'd rather vector something myself, even if it is more time consuming.

Yea its pretty nifty. It did pretty well on some things I tested it with. That have more than 3 colors... You just have to work with the modifiers a bit.
And illustrator as a filter for an instant vector??
I myself like to do it by hand with the pen tool. But thought some people might find it handy.
