Yeah, you share that feeling with a lot of gamers. Still, I suggest you try XII. It's very different from any other FF game.. and has a much quicker pace to it.

i've already played it dude...the ONLY RPG's i ever played are FF 7 n XII...

Ah.. then you're just plain ol' not an RPG guy I see. Of course, if you get over the Disney thing, the Kingdom Hearts games are much more action-oriented (much like FFvs.XIII will be).

After ten they fucked with the battle set up so much it got annoying. Of course it looks gorgeous but alot of the final fantasy's are so long and drawn out. You need rations to survive the intros till you actually get to play and battle :/

The thing about square: They are the best at overhyping an opening video/trailer to make their game look SOOOOO much better than it actually is.

I think XIII will be a good FF. (compared with XII, how couldn't it be?)
However, the thing I don't like, is that Lightning (is she using a fucking gunblade? tell me she's not using a fucking gunblade) seems too solo, and the combat seems sorta godmoddish. Not to say that can't be fun (see: DMC series) but FF has always been about the cast of characters, at least for the most part. I've never seen a final fantasy game that had only one character for very long.

Though, maybe I'm just cynical cause square has been milking the name "Final Fantasy" for so long. I sure hope they bring some of the older stuff back though. XII was a dungeon crawler. DO NOT WANT.

i do got to say for only playing games 7-12 (i have not even played 11 though, and who would now!) the FF series for a RPG help with making new types of RPG's with making new lvl up systems (though i miss the materia system and can not wait for Crisis Core) it gives me a challenge. (my fave lvl up system has got to be 10 and the worst was 8 I HATE DRAW)

sorry for my rant, i've been playing FF for a long time and plan on playing it till they mess up big time. (the only thing is i have to get a PS3 when i want a 360)

i've played a little of KH 2 after the reviews...it may look good to the RPG fans but not me...too childish...i prefer games with more violence...what can i say? i'm a violent guy

The Gambit system in XII was amazing in my opinion. Kept up the pace of the game. The battle scenes didn't interrupt the flow of the game. I thought XII was a landmark RPG. I expect the same from XIII.

Agreed. I like FF, but not all of them, best one is FF7. Hate the game, but love the story. I lved KH 1 and 2 tho. and yea im gonna get FFXIII Versus, but i dunno about XIII
