Alright, the remake has been announced. It follows the same story line as the original 1st installment but with better graphics. But if it sucks like the other remakes, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Exorcist etc still remains to be seen. From the trailers, it seems like a typical teen slasher movie. Naked girls, horny dudes, a mad man with a sharp weapon and all. But thats what was intended in the original Friday the 13th. Plus the producer is Michael Bay who brought you movies like Transformer, Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor etc. So thats a insane plus point there.
Me? I'll give it a go since i want to see whether they can step in the big shoes of the original horror god.

Story
Whitney (Amanda Righetti), Clay (Jared Padalecki), Mike (Nick Mennell), Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), Trent (Travis VanWinkle) and other young adults end up exploring the old Camp Crystal Lake (made famous by the original 1980 film). Soon enough however their seemingly fun weekend turns into a nightmare when each one finds themselves hunted down by a machete weilding maniac known as Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears).

Well, of course I'm going to give this another go. I love movies like this, and there's no harm in checking it out. Who knows, it might be one of the best movies of 2009.

Yet another jason movie i am not gonna watch.....xD not much of a Jason fan..never liked his movies and also holywood taugh me 1 thing...movies that get a lot of sequels get worse by the "episode" (hope what i said actually made sense xD)

it's gonna suck... modern movie makers have confused "gore" with "scary." Movies aren't scary any more. They're just bloodier than they used to be. I have no faith in these horror remakes.

I'll watch this movie in the hopes Hollywood will not screw up the remake of this classic slasher. I have to say that a screw up wouldn't surprise me though.
