fantasy (epic movies)

All three Lord Of the Rings, and Narnia was pretty badass as well ( only because I love movies where the animals can talk....XD yes I am weird like that). What I still don't understand is: How can there possibly be soooo many Harry Potter fans...Ever since I saw the commercial of his first movie, I was like...." BOOM you just made it on my death list " I remember watching 10 mins of either the 1st or 2nd at my friends house.....10 secs later he took the dvd out of his wimdow...now that was hilarious. Nothing against HP fans, I just seem to have and some strong sense of hatred towards it XD

as to speak for myself ,i read the books before the movie was even out,and the books are really good,it is kind of addictive ,so when the first movie was out i already was reading the 2nd book,and it natural to watch the movie when it is out ,but i stopped watching the movies after the third cause i hated the way they made the story looks like

there aren't a lot of fantasy epic movies. They're not two genres that typically overlap. Fantasy is very broad (Field of Dreams and Big are considered "fantasy" by AFI), whereas epics are just long movies set at some point in the past (Saving Private Ryan, Lawrence of Arabia, Schindler's List all qualify). But as for movies that classify as both... honestly, I'm not a huge fan of these types of movies. I liked Two Towers and the first Narnia movie the most. I'm also obviously a huge Star Wars fan.
