Avatar the movie (NOT THE LAST AIRBENDER SERIES)

James Cameron director of Titanic and Terminator has a new film on the way called Avatar. Not to be confused with the cartoon series being made into a movie as well. Avatar is a scifi action flick that takes place on a distant planet where humans are the evil invading aliens. Just the scenery and cinematography are enough to get me in on this one.



Its around 60% CGI and 40% Live Action. Its budget is around 250 million dollars and claims to be the most immersive 3d movie ever shot in stereoscopic cameras.

Anyway, this movie looks sick. It's crazy, but Cameron hasn't directed a feature film since TITANIC! That's over 10 years! I don't know if this will live up to the hype (Cameron working on it for ages, his return to Sci-Fi, etc.) but I'm looking forward to it. Cameron is one of the best directors in Hollywood.

The effects are gonna be top notch. Weta isn't quite as established as ILM, but their credentials are still impressive.

I hope it is at least more entertaining for me than Titanic was. I never plan to watch a boat sink for 4 hours ever again.

I still think it looks and sounds retarded, I'll see it when it comes out and if I'm proven wrong then alright but 9 foot cat people controlled by humans like robots on a planet fighting for fuel?.....
