rules?

well i was watching some of the last episodes of deathnote and i noticed the rule that said that if seven deathnotes were introduced into the human world than only the first six would work and the seventh wouldn't work unless one of the first six was destroyed or returned to the shinigami world and seeing as this rule didnt come into play during the series i was wondering if they were leaving it open to another series possibly one about the shinigami realm or multiple shinigami and death notes ?

maybe so ,but i doubt there will be a second series as good as the first since most of the main characters are already dead

Perhaps, I have a feeling that we will see another Death Note series. Perhaps a post Kira, or maybe even a pre Kira story line. Death Note is the kind of series that can go on forever with interchanging main characters because the story is based on the Death Note rather than the people using it. A Character dies, but the Death Note is eternal.

Yeah, Mushiro is right... The story could go on forever like Naruto... It just matters how the shift it from place to place.

Well, the story can go on forever, yes, but I agree that it probably wouldn't be as good as the first series. It would be nice with a second Death Note anime, but if so, I'd like them to leave the current story and maybe only mention it to clarify when the new one is.

Back to the original topic: I must have missed that rule, because I can't remember it. Though six death notes would be lots, and sounds kinda messy. But it's true, they might make something out of it.
