You know how when a shinigami uses the death note, the shinigami gains the extra life, and vice versa when saved. Where does the extra life from when humans use the death note go? I had a theory that it went the the ultimate death god...
any thoughts?

i think in the anime and manga ryuk explains where it al goes when he is taking about the eye trade that it doesnt work for humans they get nothing out of the death note by killing people early because after al they are still just human. been awhile since i saw/read that part but i think thats right

yeah that rule applies only for shinigamis humans don't get anything from using death notes

I beleive it was said that the lives go to the original owner of the Death Note (Ryuuk in this case). However, I think that's false, I think the lives will go to Light when he becomes a Shinigami.

You might be asking, what makes me think Light will become a Shinigami? Well, if a person writes in the Death Note, they can neither go to heaven or to hell, so the only other option is in pergatory with the Shinigami...

or they could just disappear if a human death note users are to become shinigami after their deaths I think they would have mentioned it

100% agreed. Ryuk explained the ups and downs to Light before Light began using the Death Note...

I don't agree with this. Didn't Ryuuk give basic instructions first (in the notebook), then let Light use it for something like four days before meeting him in person? From there on he explained things as they came to mind. At least, that's how I remember it, it's been a while since I've watched Death Note.

i think this is the most believable theory that can be put,so i guess i just agree

light had already used the notebook before ryuk explained that to him,so it was already late for light to back down ,he didn't have any more choice in the matter

i think its a good theory but if the lives go to light then he should not be almost death with the bullets or he will ony gain them after death in "pergatory"...
