Of course Kira did the wrong ever mistake "Killing people cause of there past or even present in the name of god". But if the question was about weather kira was doing the right thing for the anime by killing people I would say Yes he did. "I have my own reasons lol"

Light was only interested in being the god of the new world. If he was realy devoted to saving the world from the scum of the Earth he would have taken the Shinigami Eye deal. It would have made the whole trip easier, but less entertaining on our part. I agree that some of his descisions were incredibly stupid AND brilliant at the same time. He could have lived longer though if he had just taken the easy road.
I reckon he had good intentions at heart [although not without some selfish ideas too] and I support him in what he was doing. Remember how people posted messages going "Kira, thanks to you people have stopped bullying me", etc. I guess in a way it is ruling by fear, which is a bad thing but at least it helped to stop evil things happening eventually.
But there's also the problem of one person holding too much power. Not safe!
He was I think doing the right thing, but he was making the world into almost a communist country where there is only one law and that is to bow down before him and worship him as a GOD!! He had a good idea but just a really weird way of going about it...

Yeah, he had good intentions. But he went about it in a crazy I am God obey me kind of way. After a while it's like he forgot about his first actual goal and just become mad with power.
no,i don't believe he did the right thing because i believe in what roy mustang said"this world isn't perfect that is why it is beautiful",also it is impossible to erase all the bad in the world cause when the light shines brighter the dark places will become darker ,and as long as there is light there will always be darkness and vise versa "that is why you can see in a dark room cause there is a little light that disturb the darkness".this world is based on this balance .
