Light's idea was right, but Light himself Betrayed the idea and Kira should strike him down.

firstly, don't bring the Bible in to Death Note, Kira and God are two entirely different things. Secondly, Light's plan was good in theory, eliminating the criminals in the world is indeed a good thing...doing so that you can become the god of the world, however, is not. Much like Lawliet became so obsessed with finding out how Kira killed and lost sight of the true goal (catching Kira) Light became so obsessed with becoming god that he became the very thing he set out to destroy, a murderous criminal. I do not disagree with Light's killing of criminals, but what about those that were innocent? Raye Penbar, Raye Penbar's wife, Lawliet, Watari...Light became so obsessed with his image as Kira that he became a murderer of innocents. To answer this question, we must look at Light and Kira as seperate entities (can you not deny that when Light lost his memory he was a different person than when he regained it?) In answer to the question, Light was indeed doing the right thing, Kira, however, was not.

It was obvious that some will come after a mass serial killer.. He should have thought of that first.. By trying to defend himself he made the first false move.. Which leaded him to the killing everyone who opposed..

Yea I agree with what he did, until he started killing cops and stuff. But then yea haha. L had to come in the way that little bis o.o; It was going to be a perfect world with 0% crime and the cops get in the way....Actually I see now, the cops didn't care about the fact the criminals were dying, they knew if the Criminal rate was 0% they would be out of the job....it all makes sense now xDD

Agree with Seiji. Its a known fact that its better to live in jail then on the streets. I dont feel like paying for them. You must always think before you act, or else be punished.

And as far as Kira goes, he just was a little immature of what he did. There will ALWAYS be bad people in this world no matter what anyone says or does. Kira thought he was awesome, but he was just immature.

I completely disagree with Kira. When Light first started out with the Death Note, he thought he was doing the right thing. But he wasn't. It's true that in order to clear the world of crime, the evil ones must be dead. But who are the evil ones? How many are there? Not much. There's not only Pure people and Evil people. The truth of it all lies within the intention of that person. Some people are hypocrites, that makes it hard to judge them as Good or Evil. Some accidentally caused crimes. Some crimes are committed but there are others, who are unknown to people, that are behind it and should be punished too. And especially nowadays, where the news is biased and there are those who are falsely accused of certain crimes, and the truth of who's really the evil one is well hidden, I say it is impossible for people, let alone one human being, to judge the world on who's bad or not. Besides there are always chances to redeem oneself. Kira was way over his head thinking he could do the job himself. I don't think he was dumb though, just selfish.
