I need help with play a song on the guitar.

Hi, like the title states, I need help with playing a song on the guitar. The song "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King is bothering me. I need to tap when i play the song, but how do I tap while I'm strumming? :/ I'm confused please help me! Oh, and another question: is this thread in the right place? Thanks in advanced. :]

cuzz its not rock music and cant turn a rock type music its slow an u need use pc songs to renew it(firs u need a song programs [its not free]and u need know songs notes and c++ )

i do know the song and chords but they dont say anything about tapping, but the ong has tapping

I believe you are to be tapping you feet....if thats the caaase - You tap just to keep yourself on beat...its just a way of keeping rhythm..you dont really have to if your not comfortable with it, but you would need to have a good sense of rhythm. You can tap on every beat as in(1-2-3-4) in a 4/4 time signature, If you catch my drift.

umm I'm too lazy to find the song and listen to it, but the tapping could be added right after certain strums.

ex: strum > then tap the strings.

and if its like how I stated, you'll just have to listen to the song and find when they tap and play it like that. You'll just have to get use to the tapping...
