What reallly is gonna happen on dec. 21 2012?

I've searched for quite some time now about this subject. Dec. 21, 2012 is the end of the Mayan/Aztec calendar. It is said that either it is the END. Like the end of everything or the it is rather an enlightment. Which could be us on earth being enlightened or enlightened by something coming to earth. It is also considered time wave 0 by Terence McKenna. He founded the therory of Novelty. What I need some other point of view. So what do you think? Do you think that were all just going to die? Do you think that aliens are going to come to earth? Do you think that the world will find peace? Do you think that nothing is going to happen?

Ok, I've discussed this many times in my school before and many people are starting to talk about it more often. This is how I know it, the Mayans predicted that in 2012 the current created world will move into the next world, which could be the afterlife. Or there is another possibility, the Noosphere comes. The Noosphere is basically something that will give humans a greater knowledge, and a way to understand even the most complicated things. We already have had the Biosphere and this other one I forget. those are 2 possibilities.

I think the Noosphere one is good because, humans will figure out how to solve global warming, poverty etc. and maybe one day world peace.

My researches led me to only one theory...kinda..no..very negative thinking of me..but i will share my theory...

The Sun would explode..(as indicated on a certain show last 2002) Reaching Earth..then it is like the world will be repeated...the age of beggining will repeat..or maybe it will go to another galaxy....or..(the worst part of all) The earth will never recreated anymore....O_o.................Oh how i wish i never found that theory....-_-""

I don't think that idea is right.
If you read around on the internett you will found tons of articles from "scientist" that tells you the world 1 - going to hell 2 - something great happens, that will happen on a given date. Remember 2000? How many people did take their life because they belived doomsday was near.
And aswell, back in time when people belived on Odin, Loke and Tor, then they belived the world was flat and i you sailed to a certain point you would basically be fucked lol, but you would end up in...nowhere. The same goes on in other cultures, they have a date or belive of something that would mean...like death and hell, or a greater enlightment.
I think this is due to that people WANT to know, people want to know the answers on the great questions in life, and by that they make theories that with time becomes something people actually start to belive on.

Again, this is my opinion, and who knows, will be interesting to see what happens, but I don't belive anything specially is going to happend that day. I will wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, then to the gym, then I will come home look on porno and take a wank before I go to bed ^_^
