No, you are not my friend, Pascal was the one who originated this line of thought. However, he only considered god or no god, if we find out that the "god" is not the Judeo-Christian one we'd be in the same boat. I also think he greatly undervalues that wasted time. This world and life is something to be treasured, to waste that, to me, is a poverty.
