Why does Australia have kangaroos and we don't? I live in the Philippines, which, if you stare at the globe, is right below Australia. o.o

Well there are a few theories but I reckon that this is why.
Whether they originally came from Australia or from across a land bridge, kangaroos have adapted, or were originally designed to survive in the conditions here.
Also, do you have large predators in the Philippines? Like big cats. If so then that may be a reason. In Aus we don't really have any predators that hunt kangaroos (except humans). Probably only dingoes, but even this is unlikely. Kangaroos can be savage. I know of a man who's belly was slit from hip to hip when he was kicked by a kangaroo he had hit with his Four-Wheel-Drive. They can also break bones if they kick you.
They also need live on large flat areas. Is it pretty topographic in the Philippines?

Well I don't know of any rumors specifically linking us to bestiality, so as Esparc said it's all personal preference.
However, Australians often make jokes of that nature about our New Zealand neighbors, with regards to them and their <ahem> wool stock. We nick-named the sheep stock transport ships "Love Boats". But we are on friendly terms with the New Zealanders and often just cop a mouthful if we mention their supposed "habits".

But seriously, the name Australia is derivative from our country's original Latin name Terra Australis; meaning Southern Land.
