correct me if I am wrong....but didn't join the gotei after he took that zan?

I think he had and has a strong reiatsu in the first place. How else would he be able to use that zan or become a captain? Which suzumushi would not have accepted him, or let him achieve bankai if his reiatsu was weak.

I do not think he has another zan. He was on a different path before the death of his friend. And IF, he did have another zan maybe he left the other behind because it was not strong enough for his reiatsu.

that zan. was probably nameless, so it was only for cutting and nothing else so there is possibilty that with nameless zan. can be used by other people and if they have enoght power they can even use shi-kai and ban-kai.

how it look, every shinigami got zan when they become shinigami, zan. is part of owners soul.
so it look that when owner died, zan. connect to other soul and become that owner's zan. insted of new one, but that is if someone even want to use it.

even trought nameles zan. have owners, we can't say that there is any connection between owner and zan. since they didn't talk.
when someone can use shi-kai than we can say that someone is owner of sword.

i have a little question ,where the part talking about that,i can't seem to remember that tousin took his Zan from friend ,so if someone could tell me the chapter i would be very grateful

in one of the Countdown To The End chapters (which are 147-150) it shows him taking the Zan from the coffin of his friend.

It's in early 148. It shows him holding a sword, that we can assume is hers, but I don't see any guarantee of it.

thanks ,i saw it ,but there is sth really interesting in this chapter,tousin says he liked the clouds which was representing evil,even though he swore he will remove all the clouds ,as for the main question,i have a theory ,he might have a Zan of his own ,but since his soul and hers are connected he could reach bankai with hers ,so he might be like cross in DGM who has 2 innocence

when he takes it from the coffin, you can see it easily. It's definitely the one he's using against Kenpachi.

Actually, bump to this topic, but I just thought of a possible explanation, it's possible that the katana is just a piece of metal(spirit metal?), but the spirit of the zan is with the wielder, so example, Suzumushi is Tousen's spirit, but the physical sword belonged to the girl. Just like Hyourinmaru was calling to Toshiro when he was a kid. It was a voice he heard, but he didn't have the physical form yet.

That makes sense. So it kinda seems like he was always meant to receive the sword, sort of like a fate thing, right?
