Why did Aizen Choose Tosen?

I started thinking this after I read next week's spoilers... Only reason I can think of is because Aizen is actually afraid of Tosen because his shikai is useless against Tosen.....I mean let's face it, Tosen isn't exactly the strongest person. He does indeed have a kick ass bankai, that if used properly can kill anyone. I personally believe Tosen is the counter weight to Aizen...If Aizen is afraid of anyone, it's him..What you guys think?

I don't think Aizen fears much of anyone. Even though Tousen is blind, Aizen has him dancing like his organ grinder monkey. Even if Tousen were to betray Aizen, he would be easily disposed of by Aizen. However, I'm sure the fact that Tousen was blind had a lot to do with Aizen befriending him.

But Tosen's bankai can eliminate all senses. Only reason he lost to kenpachi was because he is just a beast...I think if Tosen got Aizen in the box, I don't know what Aizen would do, unless he already thought of a way out.

Tousen was chosen because he can be manipulated. Aizen scouted pretty much every one, and the people he knew he could use are the ones he selected. At some point, he realized that Tosuen can be used. It's not his blindness that makes him significant, but his personality. Aizen figured out how to use him, so he is. I don't know when/how he came to that conclusion, but it was clearly an accurate one.

The only captains in SS that are afraid of dieing are Tousen and Gin...Tousen followed Aizen cause he doesnt want to die and he wants to carry out justice as long as he leaves(hence the hollow powers)....Aizen isnt afraid of Tousen,Tousen is more afraid of Aizen cause Aizen outclasses him in every field as a death god...Aizen should be more scared of gin or Kisuke(unknown partner in crime) cause there are just as cunning as him.....

I think he chose Tousen only because his views are so twisted. He would do anything to uphold this "justice" that he always speaks of, so that was one factor. Also the fact that he is blind might have something to do with it.

Holyken, I don't think Gin is cunning. We have barely seen anything from him, all we know is that he is a genius who has been under Aizen's wing since he was young. For all we know Aizen could be telling him everything to do. That creepy smile may just be a plus...I've seen people in real life who just smile like that for no reason.

the only reason he chose tosen because he is the only threat to him because he cant see so he is uneffected by Aizens shikai and his bankai could kill him because aizen wouldnt have a way to fight back the only person crazy enough to beat him was zaraki.

He chose tosen because he probably couldn't think of anyone besides him that would betray SS but on the other hand his bankai is freaky aizen woulod probably get pwned when he activates bankai just my thoughts

Tousen isn't a threat to Aizen. If Aizen was truly threatened by Tousen, he could've killed him a long time ago without much effort. The fact is Tousen was willing to follow Aizen. He was loyal, and he's powerful. That's all there is to it.

The better question is, why Tousen is following Aizen.
