Halibel's Secret?

It looks as if Stark is at the end of his rope and will probably be handled in the next couple of weeks. That means Barragan and Stark will be taken care of before Halibel. In most Shounen stuff, enemies are killed off from weakest to strongest. When something blatantly odd happens, we get an explanation later. I remember laughing with my sister at the Ulquirora/Ichigo fighting, asking if she ever would've thought we'd see Ulquiorra's release before Yammy's... turns out, Yammy is actually more powerful.

So it looks as if Halibel will be the last one standing of the Espada that went to K-Town. Any ideas what twist Tite has in store for us?

Hmm, good analysis. Still a few more weeks from knowing thangs but i would say she might be the last one standing. Assuming Yammy dont just bust out and bring Ichigo and them with him by accident.
I dont know if she has anymore tricks up her sleeve but she said she was gonna try to kill yamamoto. I personally would love to see her at least try. She may veru well have another release tho, she is the only female Espada i think. So she has gotta have some trump card!:-)
She did get dat az whooped by a little prodigy so.......that woulda been embarrassing if she was playing for keeps..

I'm all for Halibel attacking Yamamoto. He's a jerk and a lousy leader. They'd be better off with a captain commander who's willing to trust the captains instead of ordering them to shut up and obey so often.

First I wanted to say that I don't think Yammy was more powerful than Uliquorra. I mean, yes, he has '0' rank but still there are occasions when he seemed very weak. For instance when he got his arm chopped off, when he got defended by Uliquorra against Urahara's 'Sing, Benehime' move, when he got owned by Uliquorra during Luppi's attack on the human world. And if someone says that he made himself look weak, I don't think its in his nature to act that way. He is arrogant and boastful and every Espada, except Stark and Harribel, boasted in different way about their powers.
Now on topic. I think the main reason why Harribel is stored for last is maybe because Tite wanted to remove a little cliche' of as you pointed out 'strongest for the last'. I don't think there is anything more to that.

For now, I'm just gonna assume Yammy is the most powerful... at least, at his peak. We'll find out when he actually fights, but I'm taking his 0 ranking at face value.

As for the cliche thing, it's a good cliche in most cases. Authors do it to keep some kind of suspense. If a strong villain is dealt with early on, then weaker ones won't be looked at as a threat. So in Halibel's case, if she's actually weaker than Barragan, then she's no threat, because worst case scenario, the duo that killed Barragan could always just kill her. So it's a cliche that I like. However, if any manga/anime is gonna break that cliche, Bleach is the one, because there's no suspense any way. Even if Halibel is the strongest, she's gonna die, and she's not gonna kill any one.

Actually, the only reason Barragan was defeated was because his attack was turned back against him. We have no idea if Hachi would be able to use his powers to beat Halibel, I'm sure that they are probably stronger than her though, so she would most likely still end up dying. All I wanted to do was point out the fact that Barragan was killed due to circumstances.

He wasn't stronger than Ulquiorra when he got his arm chopped off and kisuke didn't really defeat him it was pretty much a stale mate the fight got interrupted when they completed the mission and went back to hueco mundo. Yammy has to take a nap and consume a lot of spiritual energy before he can become the cero espada so he wasn't pretending to be weak. My guess is Aizen is using yammy as a fail safe in case things get out of hand that's why he has so much raw power.

I doubt that has anything to do with the outcome of the battles. Manga creators do not change their mangas just because of the opinions of some fans, I'm sure he had all this mapped out months, even years, before he drew it on paper.
