That would also be cool... I don't know how these spoilers work, but my thinking was whoever translated this and saw pictures should have been able to identify Barragan. But again, I have no clue how people come across the spoilers.

Regardless, I haven't been this excited for a new chapter since... I don't even know. Maybe the TBTP arc?

new spoiler gives some clarification about the "huge mass"

Spoiler: Huge Monster

"While they are fighting Wonderweiss appears, bringing along some huge creature. Its nails are all menos masks, and it has one eye."

Looks like my first guess was right, and it's the thing that was in the Garganta when Aizen escaped

Now the question is, who's gonna help? Wonderweiss, Stark, and now this dude... it's probably too much even for Kyoraku and Ukitake to handle. Maybe Urahara comes along to finish his business with Wonderweiss? Could also be the Vizards... if the Vizards were going to help any Shinigami, it would probably be decent guys like Kyoraku and Ukitake. But I still don't think the Vizards are coming. Maybe Yama will help out his "sons," or maybe Kyoraku and Ukitake are just so beastly, the handle all 3 on their own.

Question is, is that just a name (like "the mother-in-law from hell"), or is this character actually from Hell, meaning Aizen's influence expands beyond Hueco Mundo

I agree, in the TBTP arc, Shinji has very chatty to "nice guys" (like Urahara) and let's face it, Ukitake and Kyoraku are the two nicest captains out there.

yeah if the Vizards were going to directly help the Shinigami, it would probably be here. Not only are they in a bit of trouble, but there's the connection between Lisa and Kyoraku, and the Vizards real beef with SS is not with these captains (whom they probably got along with), but with the higher ups. Plus, Kyoraku and Ukitake have seemingly good relationships with some of the other exiles (Yoruichi, for example), so it would make the most sense for them to interfere here.

However, I'm still not convinced the Vizards are heading to this battlefield. I think it's more likely they're waiting in the real Karakura Town for Aizen, or having Urahara send them to HM to help Ichigo.

Wow, good find. I always wondered wtf that thing was when Aizen left to Hueco Mundo, guess we finally get to find out. I always figured it was a refractory effect, because when Grimmjow was in a Garganta once, he appeared much larger than he really was.

Here's the only clear image of the creature in the manga, the eye never opened in the manga:

Whatever it is, it's massive. Even larger than a Menos Grande... wtf is it? Now I'm dying to see not this weeks chapter, but the chpater in 2 weeks. Finally some excitement!

Hmm, been awhile since i left a comment on the manga forums!!!The next xhapter looks like its gonna be beastly. Shunsuis bankai must be very brutish ...I think its also about time for Ukitake to get sick and spit blood up and die.
That big ole black mass with the eyeball is whats up!!Thats gonna kick some shinigami ass.I think old man is still the key. If they dont take ole man out, he's just gonna kill em all really. Seems to me they shoulda attacked ole man directly and then went onto the lesser shinigami...I am sure that espadas 1, 2 and 3 could have taken out Yamamoto and then it would have been easy to defeat the remaining shinigami..

They'd probably be killed instantly. Old Man is older than all of them, TOGETHER, probably. He's also more practiced and skilled. I mean, he CREATED the academy, he made all those Captains, all those Zero Squad members, into what they are today. He could probably make Aizen cry.:<

I agree we seen bits and pices of his power in the past like at the end of the SS arch where he released his sword to the first stage and just that alone destroyed a good bit of the surrounding area O.o . So ya....all the espada we have seen so far would have been lunch meat to him, especially when you think how they been getting mowed down as it is and he is the strongest one there ( possibly even stronger than Ichigo or at least extreme power with alot more skill) Although when it comes to Aizen, I don't know, Aizen was like the 2nd or 3rd youngest captian and he was dishing out lvl 90+ spells, add that to his cunning and planing I'm sure he has figured a way to take out the old man. Now, on to my question, I've kept up to speed with the intire series but somewhere I have either forgoten or missed it....who the hell is wondewise?

Never mind just checked Wiki lol now I know who it is I just dident remember his name, or something along those lines. Which made me think of something interesting, because of his childish nature and the fact that he is not apparently good/evil, this might be a good moment for Ukitake, seeing his behavior towards children. AKA bringing wonderboy to the side of good or.....he will get killed by him lol (doubtfull)
