If you go through the manga chapter threads you'll find a lot of theories about the ongoing battle over the fake Karakura town.

its hard to tell... if isshin comes to help most likely he'll bring ishida's father and urahara... and they may have a shot and fight, aizen, tousen and gin. but this hypothesis is highly unlikely because i believe it will ruin the balance and provide a huge advantage over the espadas and besides they aren't from SS anymore and the setting of the fight isn't the real town so its difficult to say isshin or urahara will join the fight.

ichigo dad would only fight to protect ichigo and ichigo not on earth so that my opinion not based on manga
