Now, thanks for getting us a real spoiler Vergil, apparantly I'm slipping up lol.

What really interests me is this squad 0. This may perhaps be where Isshin came from. Shinji was Aizen's Captain huh? This is getting interesting, perhaps Aizen was jealous that his Captain was allowed to ascend to a greater power and Aizen wasn't allowed to do so.... very interesting. This also helps explain why there are so many Junior Captains.

something tell me that if the link between Shinji and Aizen is like the spoiler thing then the whole Vizard argument may come into play in relation to the Hougyoku and its research...and also maybe the indication of the former 11th division captain who was defeated by Kenpachi..
if Urahara and Ishiin were captains together then they should know about Shinji and u remember when we first found out that Ishiin was a captain? He knew who the Vizards were (as he explained the three puppets and Kon) so maybe, taking in mind the spoiler, this is it...

Yes! Finally, things are starting to tie together. It's about damned time Tite threw us a frigging bone about what the hell happened 100 years ago when everyone left. Apparantly, the Hougyuku had some real ill-effects for Soul Society.

that's why Urahara engraved the Hougyoku inside Rukia's soul and got the hell out of SS before things got really itchy...but Aizen was a sneaky b****rd who rewound the whole thing...

I honestly think he put it in Isshin, Rukia wasn't around 110 years ago. Nothing else would explain his loss of power and then its recovery after a long period of time. Plus, all the other deserters maintained there powers, so it wasn't taken from them.

That is possible but there can be a credible reason for the loss of powers...suppose that Ishiin did not use his powers for a long time (with the death of his wife incident weighing on him) because he wanted to keep SS leeching off his back...Urahara did the same but he is still in fact serving the purposes of SS from Yama-jii....Ishiin may have wanted some complete freedom so that he could raise his son and two daughters unhindered by shinigami related things (his wife was killed by a hollow, Grand Fisher, so he did not want to expose his family to this kind of situation again)...but in th end, it did not work out very well because Ichigo discovered his powers himself accredited to his father being a former shinigami captain...
