Alright i hope this wasnt posted before but I was on another forum and i came across this subject with reguards to his shinigami abilities as it has been something i had been wondering for a long time and its bugging me still lol i want to see more about him, imo he was a captain because of the cloak and his discussion with Urahara. I was wondering wat your guy's thoughts are on this, his past, how he met Masaki, how Ichigo will react as well as the rest of the gang. Episode ref: 111/112

my 2cents with reguards to topic: i love this character in bleach, isshin always puts a smile on my face with his interaction with his son, which leads me to wonder all sorts of questions reguarding his history, he put that grand fisher down pretty quickly with little effort so i assume he had captain abilities just from the discussion he had with urahara.

So i wonder how it will effect ichigo after he finds out, i figured anger which leads to a long talk about his mother (imo if and when presented will be a heavy and important development for Ichigo) , and questions aside from that, as well i assume since he knew about his son's activities basically from the beginning then he knew of rukia being in his son's closet way before he invited her to live with them, thats probably going to be a funny talk or maybe even related subject to misaki and how he met her and if she was aware about isshin as a shinigami..oh the possibilities i cant wait to see what it comes down to >_<

I agree, I beleive Ichigo will react with anger. His family was in some serious shit, and nearly died a few times. If he knew his father had that kind of strength, he would have been able to ask for his help. He might even get mad at him for letting his mother die.

if ichigo gets angry enough, and "his heart is filled with regret" after hearing about his family's past and the death of his mother from the mouth of isshin, maybe he will let his hollow once again take over his body...could be another interesting series of events.
