Strongest Captain? - Excluding Yamamoto! - Page 2

It's 1 of these 3 : Ukitake,Shunsui and Unohana. Since I've only seen what Shunsui can do and we didn't even get to see that much of his powers...It's to hard to decide which 1...If I had to do, ATM I'd go with Shunsui...

There's already a topic on the Captain's stats, so I won't get into it. I just wanted to point out that Unohana, who we think of as a healer, had a 100 rating in Offense. So, on top of her healing prowess, her attacks can pack a whallop. Which is why I'm leaning towards her being SLIGHTLY more powerful than Kyoraku or even Aizen.

Yup, released right at the beginning of the Arrancar arc.

Unohana is also one of the older captains as well, at least what we can tell from the TBTP arc.
Unohana also saw through Aizens hypnosis, who else did?

While they do have strong Bankai's, it's stated while Shunsui is talking to Stark about how strong Hitsugaya's Bankai is, he'll maybe be as strong as Shunsui is in another 100 years or so.
A reference to how much stronger Shunsui is compared to Hitsugaya.

I know Kenpachi doesn't have a bankai but can you really imagine Unohana battling off with another captain for power? Also I believe it was mentioned that Kenpachi was the only captain without a bankai.

And the 100 years estimation by Shunsui was an approximate, it wasn't definate.

according to some stats i found....they rate the death gods out 600 for intellect,stamina,health,Swordsmanship(offence and defence +ability to use the sword),Kido/Reatsu and mobility...
Yama-jii- 560(everything a hundred except for stamina which was 60)
Aizen-560(mobilty)
Unohana-540(stamina)
Kyouraku-530(stamina)
Byukuya-510(all rounder)
Hitsuguya-500(all rounder)
Ichimaru Gin-490(all rounder)
Tousen-480(all rounder)
soi fong-480(stamina is weak)
Ukitake-480(however,his health let him down but he had the same scores has kyouraku)
Mayuri-430(mobilty a big factor)
Sajin-400(intellect,reatsu and mobilty are weak)
Kenpachi-350(kido/reatsu,intellect and mobilty are weak)

I gotta go out on a limb and break this one down. We've all seen some of the powers the captains have except for a few.
I personally think that Unohana doesnt have the Halibel syndrome. I believe if you are a great healer you on the oppposite end of the spectrum can be that much more of a efficent killer. Ever get into a knife fight with a surgeon?He'll probably carve ur ass up!!

Ukitake and Shunsui is a big debate. Ukitake is sick etc and if he had to fight Shunsui for all the marbles, i believe Shunsui would win. Ukitake's health has to be a factor. he might be beastly vs lil arrancars etc but if someone were to take it the distance with him i doubt his body would hold up..........

Shunsui for pure power. But Aizen can beat his shikai abilities. he might come out Aizejns shadow and stab him but it will be an illusion.....Muhahahahaaa

Unohana for her abilities to heal and perhaps hurt plus age etc...
AIZEN-His reiatsue isnt the strongest BUT he can fine tune it to a pin head and direct it directly at you or a weak spot. it was said he has twice the reiatsue of a normal captain. Another reason is brain multiplies his power. I doubt the others Captains are as smart and or beastly at tactics vs opponents, in one package. And then there is his zanpakuto abillities plus kido...................I dont know if any other captain has all that in one package. Some have the strength, others have the brain power, but he has them all.

Kenpachi has the most strength and spiritual power but that's all he is...he can't do any kidou and doesn't have a zanpakuto that he has harnessed yet.

We don't have enough information on any of the captains to accurately gauge who is the strongest...so far, we've only seen a handful of bankai and even then...there is always variations of the bankai powers that we have yet to see. Take Byakuya for example...he's got several different things with his bankai and shikai that I'm sure he still has yet to show. Same with Hitsugaya...he's still progressing as a shinigami. He WILL get stronger unless he is killed.

As for all the shinigami still getting stronger, I think that's false. Ukitake, Shunsui, Unohana and Yammamoto are all at a plateau I think. Byakuya is close to getting there too. The rest still have a bit that they can probably learn or develop...especially Kenpachi.

Which current shinigami do I think is the strongest though? Hmm...I will have to go with Ukitake.

everyone is saying if you've got good healing skills then your a strong offensive type too. Eerrr this doesn't make sense. So what about that guy who keeps healing Ichigo (hantarou or something... does it look like he can fight?) Can Orihme fight? So on what basis is Unohana there for being strongest other than shes one of the oldest captains?

Also Ukitake, his illness is definately a problem.... I mean, he fainted when everyone went to the beach cos the sun was too hot remember? lol I thought it was funny when they got Toushiro to use his hyorimaru for ice xD

Not everyone, just Unohana, based on her 100 rating in Offense in the Book of Souls.

Obviously a lot has changed since Tite published that, but I was just bringing out the fact that she's highly skilled offensively to complement her obvious healing talents, which gives her very well-rounded powers. (the only captains with 100 in offense were Yama, Aizen, Unohana, Komamura, and Kenpachi)
