The filler(my guess anyway) takes place during the HM arc.

And I guess the reason there were so few episodes of the decent filler story was because of everyone saying "THEY CAN'T MAKE A NEW CAPTAIN. THAT KILLS THE REAL STORY" so they threw the princess Lurichiyo story at us instead.

My friend, the most correct answer after, though I understand it makes no sense whatsoever. you see recall Sado's Fight with the Privaron Espada, it was during that fight in HM, that Sado actually began to realize the composition of his power as well as the type ( HOLLOW ). I cant say anything in regards to Ishida as it would be a spoiler in this section. but yes as it remains you will know 100% as soon as that idiot(Ichigo) decides to put on his mask. pretty soon he might even use it against Kon, just to display that thats all he knows how to do. [ dont get me wrong, I love Ichigo, I just hate the fact he has to use his Bankai on every single enemy]

This battle has to take place during the HM arc or right after which would be stupid of the writers.
If Chad has both arms as weapons., its during the HM arc. I stated this before in another thread. Based upon Ishida's attack and Chads, it has to be during the HM arc.
