Ok so I'm sure that there are some you out there as confuzzled as I am as are there people who know what the heck is going on. So why exactly was the Espada fight episodes cut short to go to these new episodes with the new captain and protecting the girl with the two nitwits she has as guardians?

they are called fillers and they were introduced to lengthen the gap between the anime and the manga. All the animes out there do that.
And i can assume that u do not read the manga.
