lol. You know you're an anime-junkie when the thought of someone actually not knowing what a "Death Note" was didn't even occur to you, as it didn't to me until mishii-chan's post.

I duno what to think of that really... apart from its just one more thing to add to the list of things that happens in the world...

For example:

Kid makes death note,
Kids act out a fight from Bleach,
Teenagers hacks into FBI computers from his bedroom and such

You get the idea. To me it just seems that its just a kid whos doing something that appeals to him and society seems to look down upon it because it makes him different to others... just seems odd how the media picks anything and everything and just seems to run the story into the ground making people listen to it. ok yes its nice to know whats happening in the world but it bores me to death when they follow the people involved for a while and report everything they do... -_-"

No need to apologize, you're right. A kid that imitates an artform shouldn't be punished unless he did something illegal. Unfortunately, the Death Note thing can be seen as a hit list which is a sign of mental issues. But kicking someone out of school over something like this shouldn't be the solution.
